Vice President Yemi Osinbajo had, as Acting President during President Muhammadu Buhari’s 10-day vacation in the United Kingdom, expressed concerns over the allegations of human rights abuses leveled against the SARS. The commission’s Director of Women, Children and Vulnerable Groups, Harry Obe, disclosed this at a two-day workshop organised by Caritas Nigeria/JDPC yesterday in Abuja. Child Sexual Abuse

Child Sexual Abuse The offence of defilement is an issue which has been given less concern in our society today and treated with reckless abandon. Notwithstanding the various law enactments by various states to protect the interest of a child, the record of defilement cases has become so alarming that it has become a daily occurrence in our society. Defilement of children (both males and females) by adults is another evil making trend in daylight. In the course of discussing with a friend, she informed me of a current matter she's handling involving defilement of children, aged 3, 4 and 6 years respectively by a 40 years old man who apparently fingered one, used his tongue on the other and actually penetrated the last one. I wondered, isn't extra marital affair a lesser evil than being a pedophile. Defilement of children also known as child sexual abuse can occur anywhere for instance: in the school, at home by relatives, helps, family friends and sadly in church. Parents...

FIND A FRIEND The high rate of suicide is becoming a trending news especially among youths. It is becoming glaring that people are making companions out of their phones, checking social media posts, listening to music, watching movies seem to be the only hobby. The internet have become the only problem solver known to people. Depression is real but suicide isn't the solution. Talk to someone, nobody is an island, you are made to share and fellowship with others, even God isn't alone (The Trinity). More so, there is always good a solution to every problem, that you haven't found it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. We should learn to live life "one day at a time". The distance between you and that dream certificate, job, life, love, money etc is " one day". Suicide isn't a solution, its a menace, its deprives you of all entirely (even in death). Talk to someone, Say no to DEATH And yes to LIFE.
